The Loch Ness Monster

Our 6 th grade students have investigated about the Loch Ness Monster.

The Champions League final

The Champions League is a big football competition. The final is on Saturday. Two teams are in the final. They are Bayern Munich and Inter Milan.

Bayern Munich are the top team in Germany. They have got two cups this year! “We want three cups!” they say. “We want the Champions League cup.”

Bayern’s shirts are red. Their home is Munich, in the south of Germany. They’ve got good players –Arjen Robben and Ivica Olic.

Inter Milan are the top team in Italy. They have got two cups this year! “We want three cups!” they say. “We want the Champions League cup.”

Inter’s shirts are blue and black. Their home is Milan, in the north of Italy. They’ve got good players – Lucio and Samuel Eto’o.

The Olympic tower

In 2012 the Olympic Games will be in London.

There is a new Olympic stadium in London. The organisers want to make a big tower at the stadium.

In the picture you can see the tower.

People can go to the top of the tower. At the top, they can see all of London.

But there are two problems. The tower costs 22 million Euros. A lot of money! What is the other problem? Some people don’t like the tower!

Who is Britain’s new Prime Minister?

Thursday 6th May was Election Day in Britain! There is an election every five years.

People vote from seven o’clock in the morning to ten o’clock at night.

The winner is the new Prime Minister. The Prime Minister lives in London, at Number 10, Downing Street.

Many people vote. We are counting all the votes.

May Day

May Day is on the 1st of May. People celebrate this day all over the world. In some towns in England children dance round maypoles.

May Day es el 1 de Mayo. La gente celebra este por todo el mundo. En algunas ciudades en Inglaterra los niños bailan alrededor de "maypoles".

Beckhan is sad

David Beckham is England’s most famous football player. But he is sad. He wanted to play for England in the World Cup, but he can’t.
Some weeks ago, David hurt his foot in a football match. David went to hospital in Finland. The doctor said David can’t play football for five months , but the World Cup starts in three months.
David was excited about playing in the World Cup. But now he is really sad.
