South African football fans wear green and gold. They call their team ‘Bafana Bafana’. It means ‘The Boys.’ They make a lot of noise at football matches. They have ‘vuvuzelas’ – a trumpet.
Today it’s the opening show at Soccer City Stadium in Johannesburg. Eighty-five thousand people come to the stadium. Five hundred million people all over the world watch it on TV.

We believe that the World Cup is good for South Africa, because it's more or less a poor country and then will win more money and will be more famous. We would like that the World Cup it would be in our country because will be very good for Spain. In our country the big sports events are football, basketball, tennis and cycling.
